Charles Nesbit was raised in Richmond, Va. and moved to N.Y.C. to pursue his interests in art & commercial photography after receiving a B.F.A. in English Literature from Yale & then an M.F.A. in Photography from Yale Art School. After serving time assisting famous shooters, he began his career as an interiors photographer for the N.Y. Times Sunday Design section and numerous shelter magazines. He followed this by shooting constructed studio rooms for the major textile companies.
For the last 15 years he has specialized in still-life images for jewelery , cosmetics, china, flatware, &fashion accessories accounts.
His work emphasizes the clarity, simplicity & unique perspective which turns products into emblems of importance.
Charles lives in N.Y.C. with lovely wife Avy Kaufman, two teenage sons & a dachshund on wheels named Snipper.
